They Deserve My Voice

Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy. -Proverbs 31:8-9

This is a lesson that I think many Christians need reinforced, especially me. I think I am a little stronger than some people in my faith, I certainly have thought a lot about it. Because of this, I should be looking out for my brothers and sisters and help them onto their own feet so that they can then help others. It’s not only my Christian siblings that need help though. This verse is definitely talking about the starving people in Africa and the third world countries. These “first world problems” that we live through are blessings. So many people go through such hardship and are still so thankful for the burdens that they have. They deserve my voice.
